• Philosophy & Core Approach

Still Walking is a trauma-informed approach to healing, recovery, and emotional resilience grounded in the understanding that healing is not linear, and it is rarely immediate.

At its core, this work reflects a way of seeing people in their process, creating space where they can feel safe enough to slow down, steady enough to reflect, and supported enough to begin again.

Healing is not something to be rushed or forced. It unfolds through consistency, connection, and compassionate presence.

Still Walking is not a program or destination. It is a way of being with people in their process, honoring where they are while holding space for what is still becoming.

  • Clinical Foundation

This work is shaped by more than 25 years of clinical experience in behavioral health and substance use treatment, along with a deep respect for the complexity of trauma and its impact on emotional, psychological, and nervous system functioning.

It is grounded in trauma-informed, client-centered care and informed by both professional training and the lived reality that meaningful change often happens in quiet, gradual steps rather than dramatic shifts.

  • Ways of Working

My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and rooted in evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and psychoeducation.

The focus is not on forcing change, but on creating the conditions where change can naturally unfold with safety and support.

Reach Out Gently

If something here speaks to you, you are welcome to reach out in whatever way feels most natural. There is no need to find the perfect words, the right moment, or a clear path forward, only the willingness to meet yourself where you are.

Some steps are quiet. Some are uncertain. Some are simply the choice to no longer walk alone with what feels heavy. That is enough.

If you feel ready, you can send a brief message through the contact page. I will respond as soon as I am able.

Still walking. One step at a time.
